Dear friends,

Many, if not most of you, live in the United States.  Today we celebrate freedom.  My particular celebration does not involve fireworks, food on the grill, or baseball (that most American of pastimes).  I have been listening to the famous speech by Martin Luther King, I Have a Dream.  As I began writing, the tears were still flowing down my face.  It is time, indeed past time, for us to stand for true freedom for everyone.

“ . . . when we allow freedom to ring, when we let it ring from every village and every hamlet, from every state and every city, we will be able to speed up that day when all of God's children . . . will be able to join hands and sing in the words of the old Negro spiritual:

Free at last! Free at last!
Thank God Almighty, we are free at last!”

If you would like to listen to the speech, you can go to:

Truly, there is nothing wrong with sports, fireworks (used safely), or good food cooked outdoors.  I like all of these as much as I enjoy many other aspects of life.  It’s all about balance.

Before I began listening to the speech, I spent time regaining balance with flower essences.  A couple of days ago I had an amazing session with a gifted cranio-sacral therapist.  I was able to release a lot of old tensions and imbalances.  As my body adjusts to a new stability, there have been some muscle aches.  I used a technique of muscle testing repeatedly until I finally came to the core issue, and I will continue to take that last essence for a number of weeks.  This will help me to embody the new quality, and to live in a new and more spacious body.  You might say, a new freedom.

Essences work gently and thoroughly.  Often I notice the changes only after I have completed the course of taking the essence, a few days or a number of weeks.  This is one of my favorite ways of creating lasting healing, for myself and my clients.
