Dear friends:

Once again I have skipped a month – life continues to be intense and non-stop.  Even this newsletter will be short.  I am putting together a new workshop, A Well Spent Life: purposeful animal life and death.  This grows out of the book I am working on of the same name.

As I am writing about animals living and dying purposefully, I decided to talk to my animal companions who are now on the other side.  My dear friend Samantha, who was a tortoise shell female cat, died in August, 1997.  She hasn’t tried to communicate with me, nor I with her, until recently.  I think her message is quite appropriate to the times we are living right now:  “Listen.  Listen to the animals, wild and tame; listen to the Earth, the rocks and the trees; Listen to the Ocean.  They all have a message, and soon it will be too late.  Spend more time petting your cat. Or dog if you must have a dog.  Love is important.  Give love and accept the love others give you.  You’ll be a better person.”

If you are interested in participating in such a workshop, let me know.
