USING ESSENCES
Flower and crystal essences are very safe. If an essence is not appropriate for the needs of the person taking it, the body will simply throw it off through the aura. I have used flower essences very successfully with both children and animals.
Essences are also very gentle in their action and effects. Often my clients notice the difference only after the essence has been taken for the suggested period of time. Then, looking back, the client remembers what was out of balance and perceives the new pattern firmly in place.
Flower essences do not interfere with the action of medications, and neither are they a substitute for medical treatment. They are a wonderful adjunct for your own personal healing journey.
The description of the use of each essence can be a guide for which essence or combination of essences are most appropriate for you to take. Another method is to call on your intuition, whether by listening or feeling into it, or with a tool such as muscle testing or a pendulum.
My own choice is to combine these methods, using muscle testing - also called applied kinesiology. I like muscle testing because of its precision and because, using it, I allow the Universal Consciousness to move through me. Thus I access wisdom and knowledge much greater than my own limited conscious awareness. I muscle test all of my essences to choose the best solution for a particular issue and time. I also check by muscle testing whether a specific essence I believe to be applicable is in fact appropriate.
A common dosage is 4 - 6 drops under the tongue. This might be taken only once, or over a period of days or weeks. If the essence will be taken more than once, a simple method of use is to make a dosage bottle. Take a clean dropper bottle and add 1/2 water and 1/2 brandy or vodka (if alcohol is problematic use vinegar) to almost the top. Then add 4 - 6 drops of each essence indicated. Tighten the lid and shake.
Using a dosage bottle also protects your essences from inadvertent contamination. If you touch the dropper when using your essences, just be sure to wash it in hot water before returning it to your bottle of essences.
The most effective way to take the essences is to put the drops under your tongue. You can also put the essences in a glass of water or juice. Just refrigerate the mixture if you need to take it for a day or two. Essences can also be added to your bath, applied to the skin (especially at pulse points of wrists and temples), or sprayed in the air. Placing drops on the skin is an easy way to use essences with a young child or with a pet who does not want to take them orally.
Combined with aromatherapy in the sprays, the flower essences are even more potent. The aromatherapy adds the sensual, as well as an addition to the vibrational power of the flower essences. The sprays can be used to spray a room. For a therapist or masseuse, using Clear Space to spray a room between clients would be an effective means to clear negativity, firm boundaries and refresh the space. Harmony sprayed in the room during a heated discussion softens the force of feelings for those present, supports the clarity of thought and communication, and enhances the ability to see other viewpoint and possibilities.
You might want to spray Sweet Dreams on your bed linens or pillow, for deep rest and dreams. And some people like to spray themselves with Blessing or Angelic Rainbow.
NOTE that aromatherapy has more potential for side effects than flower essences. Those who are pregnant or have high blood pressure should be careful in using Clear Space, which contains Sage (salvia officinalis) oil, and Angelic Rainbow and Harmony, which contain Rosemary. Avoid spraying it directly on yourself, and do not ingest the spray.
May these essences contribute to your health and well-being on all levels.
